"So you think you can cook - Ballito Style?"

What a super-exhilarating, exciting, nerve-racking, wonderful experience!
Cooking in front of an audience and being on camera!

Our team didn't make it through to the final, but I had a wonderful time - thanks to all my family and friends who came to support me.
It meant so much to have you all there cheering us on. I was teamed up with Executive chef, Daryn Bowers from the Docklands Hotel in Durban. Thanks Daryn for taking the time to teach me some new tricks int he kitchen.
Below is a link to their facebook page to find out more about their establishment.

I have learnt so much from the experience, most of all what a demanding job being a full-time chef can be! I take my hat off to all of you out there!

Jodi-Ann Pearton from the Food Design agency is the main judge for competition, she is doing an amazing job and it was really a great experience to meet her. http://www.fooddesign.co.za/

Jacqui Rey (acclaimed Ballito chef) is also a judge http://foodmatters.co.za/
I still make her delicious Morroccan chicken recipe that she published in the Life 'n Style newspaper some years ago.

All in all a fabulous evening! You can still see who wins the competition if you get down to the La Montagne Hotel in Ballito this evening and tomorrow evening 6pm, when the final takes place.

Below are a few pics from the evening.
